Service and Maintenance

Reliable operation and maximum service life for your molding tools

Molding tools used in high-volume production operate under constant stress. Over time, this places high demands on maintenance, adjustment, and ongoing optimization.

At Kellpo, we help ensure that your tools continue to deliver consistent performance, high quality, and minimal downtime throughout their entire service life.

Are you having trouble with your tools?

We’d be happy to discuss the possibilities.

Maintenance with a focus on operations

Maintenance isn't just about fixing problems. It's about preventing problems before they arise.

At Kellpo, we combine many years of experience in the development and manufacture of molding tools with practical insights from our own packaging production. This gives us a deep understanding of how tools perform in operation—not just in theory, but in practice.

We therefore take a systematic and preventive approach, assessing the condition of the equipment and identifying potential issues before they impact production.

This ensures more stable operation and reduces the risk of unplanned downtime.

Service Agreements and Preventive Maintenance

For many customers, taking a more structured approach to maintenance adds value.

We offer service agreements under which we continuously monitor the condition of the equipment and plan maintenance and optimization based on usage. This way, maintenance becomes an integral part of operations rather than a reaction to problems.

A service agreement may include, among other things:
• ongoing inspection and assessment
• scheduled maintenance
• adjustment and optimization of critical components
• advice on service life and replacement

Types of service and maintenance for your molding tools

Renovation and recommissioning

Even sturdy tools wear out over time. In many cases, however, their service life can be significantly extended through refurbishment and re-running.

At Kellpo, we offer upgrades and modifications to existing tools so they can once again perform at the desired level. This can be an effective alternative to investing in a brand-new tool.

Testing and Commissioning

As part of our setup, we offer in-house testing and commissioning of tools. This allows us to validate functionality and performance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure a smooth transition to production.

Testing the tool before it is put into use reduces the risk of problems during subsequent operation.

Optimization of existing tools

Small adjustments can have a big impact on production. We work on optimizing cycle time, cooling, flow, and tolerances, among other things.

With the aim of improving performance—without necessarily changing the entire setup.

An investment in uptime

Service and maintenance have a direct impact on production efficiency.

Targeted efforts can help:

Fewer production stoppages
✔ More stable operation
Longer tool life
✔ Lower total costs over time

That is why we view service as an integral part of the tool’s lifecycle, not as an afterthought.
